In a bold move that’s set to redefine the electric motorcycle market in India, Ola Electric has launched the highly anticipated Roadster Pro. With its jaw-dropping speed, cutting-edge features, and competitive pricing, the Roadster Pro is poised to become a serious contender in the EV space. But what makes this bike truly stand out? Let’s dive into the details.
Ola Electric has just raised the bar in the electric motorcycle industry with the introduction of its latest marvel, the Roadster Pro. Available in two distinct variants, this high-performance bike is set to revolutionize the market with its incredible specs and aggressive pricing.
The 8kWh variant of the Roadster Pro is priced at ₹2 lakh, while the more powerful 16kWh variant comes in at ₹2.5 lakh, ex-showroom. The bike boasts a formidable 52kW electric motor capable of producing 105Nm of peak torque. This allows the 16kWh variant to accelerate from 0-60 kmph in a blistering 1.9 seconds, with a top speed reaching an impressive 194 kmph.
The standout feature of the Roadster Pro is its remarkable range. The 16kWh battery variant can travel up to 579 kilometers on a single charge, setting a new standard for electric motorcycles. The battery is cleverly housed where one would traditionally find an internal combustion engine (ICE), maintaining the bike's sleek and familiar aesthetic.
Ola has also equipped the Roadster Pro with advanced technology and features. The bike comes with a 10-inch TFT touchscreen display, and offers four ride modes: Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco, along with two customizable modes. Looking ahead, the company plans to introduce the MoveOS 5 software update, which will bring even more features like three-step traction control, anti-wheelie protection, geofencing, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Reservations for the 8kWh variant of the Roadster Pro are set to begin on August 15, with deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of FY 2026. Despite concerns over its IPO, Ola Electric’s shares have surged by 60% since their listing, reflecting strong investor confidence. Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola’s founder, remains optimistic about the company’s future, citing the success of their flagship ‘Bharat Cell’ and the growing push towards clean energy by the government.
As Ola Electric continues to grow, it is already the largest two-wheeler EV company in the world outside of China and the fifth-largest EV company globally by market capitalization. With the Roadster Pro, Ola Electric is not just setting new benchmarks; it’s paving the way for a cleaner, faster, and more exciting future in transportation.
