Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi hosted a tea reception for the newly elected Members of Parliament and prospective council of ministers. He instructed the leaders to draft a 100-day action plan and implement it as quickly as feasible.

Modi complimented each and every MP while cautioning them not to allow outside influences affect them at work.

“We need to continue with the Viksit Bharat agenda. Development work will go on without any halt,” he said.

BJP MP-elect Manohar Lal Khattar remarked, "There is a ritual of Narendra Modi that he calls people to his residence for a tea meeting," after attending the tea meeting at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. He exclusively gives these calls to those he wishes to include in his cabinet. I've finished the formalities that needed to be done. He has requested that I spend the following twenty-four hours in Delhi. Rao Inderjit Singh and Krishan Pal Gurjar attended the meeting in addition to myself.

"I feel fortunate to get the opportunity to work with the Prime Minister," stated JP leader Ajay Tamta. I thank the Prime Minister, the BJP, and every voter in my constituency for this.

Giriraj Singh, the BJP's newly elected MP, expressed gratitude to PM Modi for believing in him. There was a conversation about turning India into a "Viksit Bharat." It has nothing to do with any certain portfolio. Each department holds significance.

He left a message for fellow Parliamentarians, first-timers in particular, to not fall prey to rumours and speculation and advised them to get everything verified from the authorities concerned.
His message to newly-elected Parliamentarians came in light of various reports in the media, speculating about the allocation of departments and portfolios to the MPs.

"People may approach and call you with claims that you have been allotted a Cabinet berth. Today's advanced technology may also lead to release of documents with my digital signatures. But, you must not believe them. This exercise is useless," he told the MPs.
